our founder
Having personally been on the tools & operating a building company for a combined 17 years, I was constantly asked by friends, family and clients to share my advice & recommendations on either their existing homes, potential new purchases or investments.
Over the years, I have completed countless inspections and noticed a common problem: unless you personally knew a builder or carpenter, it was nearly impossible to get unbiased advice on pricing, scope of works, and timelines. The only option was often to contact local trades or builders, who naturally had their own interests in mind.
That’s why I started Reno Mate; to be your mate throughout your renovation journey. We provide honest, independent, real-world advice with no hidden agendas. No upselling. No pushing specific trades or suppliers. Just clear, practical guidance to help you navigate the often stressful process of renovating.
